Shoulder Mount System For Sony FX5

Made from durable CNC-machined aluminum, the Sony FX5 Cage is designed to protect the Sony FX5 camera while expanding its mounting capabilities. The camera is securely mounted to the cage using a 1/4-20 screw, ensuring a rigid and reliable connection suitable for professional productions. The cage features a versatile combination of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes with ARRI-style anti-twist positioning patterns, providing multiple mounting options for accessories such as external monitors, magic arms, or wireless systems. A side NATO rail allows quick, tool-free attachment of handles, clamps, and other NATO-compatible accessories. An integrated cold shoe mount on top provides a convenient way to attach microphones, wireless receivers, or compact lights, while the built-in HDMI locking system ensures a secure and stable cable connection, preventing accidental signal loss during filming.

At the base, the cage features an ARCA Swiss quick-release plate, allowing smooth transitions between gimbal, tripod, and handheld configurations without requiring additional plates or adapters. By installing the ARCA Swiss plate on the right side of the cage, it can be combined with its baseplate for a 9x16 shooting configuration. The cage design provides full access to all essential camera controls, input/output ports, memory card slot, and battery compartment. All original camera functions, including the top handle and accessory ports, remain fully usable while the camera is mounted inside the cage. Developed around the 15mm LWS system, the SHAPE Ultra-Light Baseplate offers full compatibility with industry-standard rods, allowing you to mount follow focuses, matte boxes, lens supports, and other essential accessories with precise alignment.

Featuring a universal ARCA Swiss-compatible mounting system, the baseplate allows quick transitions between tripod, gimbal, handheld, and slider configurations. An optical-center locking pin ensures the camera locks precisely on the optical axis every time, while a rear locking lever adds extra security by clamping the cage or camera body from the back. Combined with a pair of 18-inch rods, a set of dual quick-release rod blocks with handles, a Mini Composite Shoulder Pad, and a back pad, this shoulder support setup completes the Sony FX5 shooting experience.
